Welcome to the 2026 Tucson Gem Show on 22nd Street Kid Zone! This year, we’re excited to bring back our interactive space designed just for kids and families! The Kid Zone offers fun, hands-on activities where little explorers can discover the magic of gems, fossils, and creativity while parents take a break from the show.
Kid Zone Details:
Location: Outside the North End Tent next to Arte Crystals
Hours: Open daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Special Event:
- Saturday, January 31st: Kid Zone Kick-Off Party | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Daily Activities Include:
- Craft Tables: Let imaginations run wild with art projects and activity kits.
- Dig Site: Kids can dig for hidden treasures in two 4×4 dig zones filled with sand, small gems, and mini dinosaur fossils they can keep (limit 5 treasures per child).
Kid Zone Kick-Off Party (January 31st)
Celebrate the start of the Kid Zone with a party from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM!
- FREE lunch for the first 100 kids (hot dog, chips, and juice box).
- Face Painting: A professional face painter to bring smiles and creativity.
- Piñata Fun: A piñata filled with treats! Kids can take turns with a stick and blindfold.
Dino Dig Details:
Dig Zones:
- 4×4 sandboxes with dinosaur fossil plates and hidden treasures.
- Small gems and plastic dinosaurs for kids to keep (5 treasures max per child).
Important Notes for Parents:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Unattended children will be reported to onsite security/police for safety reasons.

Welcome to the Luck Duck Hunt, where The Tucson Gem Show on 22nd Street is full of surprises—and adorable rubber ducks! Hundreds of ducks are hiding, and some hold the key to exciting prizes. Are you ready for some quack-tastic fun!
How to Play
1.Go on a Lucky Duck Hunt
As you explore the sparkling booths and treasures of the gem show, keep your eyes peeled for rubber ducks hiding in public spaces. No need to dig—they’re waiting in plain sight to brighten your day!
2. Found a Duck? Here’s What to Do!
- GOLD or SILVER Duck – WINNER – Claim Your Prize! Bring it to the Showcase Office (south end of the showcase tent) to claim your prize!
- Keep It – Take your ducky friend home as a quirky souvenir.
- Re-Hide It – Pass along the fun by hiding it for someone else to find.
3. Share the Ducky Fun

- Food Trucks – Ducks don’t belong in tacos.
- The Showcase Tent/Office – Let’s keep the treasure in there duck-free.
- Vendor Tables – Ducks aren’t part of the inventory.
